About
Captain Jack Teague grew up in a small rural town north of Montgomery, Alabama. Upon finishing college, already bitten by the saltwater fishing bug, in 1981 he and his wife relocated to the Florida Panhandle where he nurtured his passion for ocean fishing. Moving for a job, he fished recreationally in the Jacksonville area and then later in the Big Bend area South of Tallahassee.
In the mid-1990s, he relocated to the Lower Keys/Key West area, obtained his captain's license in 1998 and began chartering by offering light tackle offshore fishing. In 2001 he added a skiff to the operation and offered flats fishing as well as offshore.
He is now focused on shallow water inshore fishing, splitting his year between Alabama's Gulf Coast from May until mid-February and the Key West, Florida area from mid-February until returning to Alabama.
